Optimal Sensor Tasking for Space Situational Awareness

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to research and develop analytical and computational tools enabling accurate tracking of Resident Space Objects (RSOs) by optimal planning and scheduling of disparate sources of information, integrating sensing with stochastic models, uncertainty characterization and forecasting, and integration of sensor data with model predictions with a goal of maximizing the degree of situational awareness.
