Third UK-Ukraine-Spain conference on Solar Physics and Space Science, 07-11 Sep 2015, Lviv, Ukraine

Abstract

In recent years, significant progress has been made in the observational, analytical and numerical studies of multiscale plasma processes in the solar atmosphere and their relation to the energy transport from the lower layers of the Sun to the solar corona and beyond. In the framework of the proposed meeting we aim to include the main aspects of solar and space research, namely, observations, theory, and numerical modeling. This will facilitate interchange and communication between diverse groups of researchers, e.g. solar physicists and space scientists, which study the Sun and its effects on the solar-terrestrial system from different perspectives. Special attention will be paid to energy transfer processes in the solar atmosphere, progress in data-driven simulations, and, high-resolution spectropolarimetry as a powerful diagnostic technique to unravel information about magnetic fields in the photosphere and chromosphere of the Sun. Our invited speakers are most active researchers in the fields covered by the proposed meeting. A number of senior experts, research associates and PhD students will also be invited. Special consideration will be given to scientists from the former-USSR countries that have relatively few opportunities to be involved with the international scientific community.
