Facility for High Spatial and Spectral Resolution Optical Imaging of Metasurfaces

Abstract

The objective is to set up a Facility for the High Spatial and Spectral Resolution Optical Imaging of Metasurfaces. It will enable major advances in a new area of research on Metasurfaces and in particular Active Metasurfaces for Advanced Wavefront Engineering and Waveguiding, which is the focus of a new AFOSR MURI lead by Federico Capasso, including as CoPIs internationally recognized leaders in Metamaterials and nanophotonics. Students and postdocs from these groups and as well as from other leading researchers active in this field at Harvard will have access to the facility.
