Quantifying Scientific Performance and Success in the Physics Community
Abstract
Develop measures that offer actionable information toward quantitative evaluation of scientific success. The hypothesis is that scientifc success becomes predictable if we see it not as an individual phenomenon but as a cellective one. By examining public response to individuals work, we can identify top performers and move toward predicting success.
