Global Flow Instability and Control VI

Abstract

The Global Flow Instability and Control symposium, organized since 2001 in Crete, has created a world-class forum for presentation and discussion of results and open issues in global flow instability and control. It has significantly contributed to establishing instability analyses and theoretical flow control approaches based on solutions of the pertinent two-and three?dimensional partial-derivative eigenvalue problems, thus obviating the need to resort to the restrictive approximations used in earlier analyses of the same class of problems.
