Multispectral image enhancement through adaptive wavelet fusion
Abstract
1. Develop new wavelet-based multiband image interpolation algorithms that enhance the representation (articulation) of details of interest while simultaneously reducing image noise. 2. Incorporate these algorithms in a multiband image fusion scheme. 3. Apply the new scheme to militarily relevant scenes and aperiodic test patterns 4. Assess the effectiveness of these procedures on displayed detail (resolution) and noise reduction
