Compressed Sensing for Terahertz Imaging Spectroscopy - RW - Dr. Allen

Abstract

It is the goal to develop a THz imaging spectroscope based on compressed sensing (CS) with large-area MEMS. The focus lies on the R&D of a large-area THz MEMS modulator that serves as a reconfigurable spatial mask in the CS approach. The MEMS are designed by aid of numerical simulations and a fabrication method is developed. Compressed sensing is evidenced by a proof-of-principle experiment.
