Two-photon absorption with polarization control in chiral compounds

Abstract

The objective for this project is to study hyperpolarization of molecular structures in chiral compounds - a compound that contains an asymmetric center (chiral atom or chiral center) and thus can occur in two nonsuperimposable mirror-image forms (enantiomers). This study will specifically study chiral polymers which for potential applications in photonics
