Reconfigurable electronics based on multiferroics and nanomagnetism
Abstract
The objectives are to grow multiferroic heterostructures grown on piezoelectric single crystal substrates and to study and use the resulting structures. Specific objectives include (i) optimizing the thin layers with respect to film composition, epitaxy, deposition parameters, defects, and substituents; (ii) studying various reconfigurable properties under multiple fields for application in logic, memory, and tunable microwave applications; and (iii) understanding electromagnetic interactions on the nanometer scale.
