Fast morphing multi-stable structures from shape-programmable bio-inspired composites
Abstract
This project aims to design shape programmable morphing systems based on multi-stable structures exploiting the tailorability enabled by using bio-inspired micro-reinforced materials. The combination of shape programmability built-in during manufacturing, with the functional multiple configurations and rapid adaptation enabled by multi-stability, results in highly reconfigurable morphing systems.
