SIMULATION OF PARTICLE-LADEN BLAST WAVES WITH INTER-SCALE COUPLING AND UNCERTAINTY QUANTIFICATION

Abstract

The goal of this proposal is the development of an innovative computational tool that will enable the efficient and accurate determination of the unsteady particle/droplet dynamics and flow phenomena occurring in blasts and high-speed combustors. The method enables high-fidelity computation that will elucidate fundamental physics at multiple scales that are currently poorly understood.
