Curved Space Photonics Inspired by General Relativity Concepts

Abstract

Create a novel class of photonic devices with design in full three dimensions, based on light propagation in curved space. This is distinct from most current approaches to metamaterials, which rely on repeated cells with planar structure (a structure dictated not only by theory but by simplicity of manufacture).
