RASS: Resilient Autonomic Software Systems

Abstract

Due to the importance of reliable mission support software systems for AF missions, dynamic reallocation of resources is needed in order to ensure mission success. For example, system components could be compromised by hostile attack or normal degradation, and if so, the need for quick and accurate reallocation of resources among potentially numerous missions must be considered with respect to mission priority. The objective of this research is to conceptualize a framework for monitoring, organizing, and dynamically adapting mission support software systems.
