Foundations of Human-Machine Collaboration:Networks of Social and Moral Norms in Human and Artificial Agents

Abstract

The PI proposes a research plan consisting of three phases: an experimental study of human social and moral norms, the development of a computational representation methodology for such norms, the development and test of a learning mechanism so that an intelligent artificial agent can instantiate and utilize norms while part of a human-machine team.
