A Synergistic Partnership Between Human Teams and Computer Agents
Abstract
This project investigates the complex cognitive task faced by teams solving problems as they make decisions in complex, dynamically changing environments. The perspective taken of the process of decision making in complex environments is that it is equivalent to the process of solving a problem, where the decision is the solution. The work investigates how a group searches within a representation and switches representations to search in, at both the problem understanding and solution stages.
