Nonreciprocal Metal-Dielectric Photonic Structures for Electromagnetic Isolation and Power Control

Abstract

The objective is to enhance targeted electromagnetic response while reducing the energy losses for wide range electromagnetic spectrum. The aim is then design and produce composite structured materials that will exceed the performance characteristics of ferrites and ferromagnets in magneto-electric response characteristics. This objective requires focused area research at infrared-and optical frequencies to demonstrate the enhancement of magneto-optical coupling while reducing the losses.
