The impact of Emotional intelligence on the Human Factor: a cross-cultural study USA-Italy

Abstract

Neuroscience and social psychology research has shown that emotions alter cognitive processes ultimately affecting human performance. This project intends to investigate, in a cross-cultural study (Italy-USA), the impact of Emotional Intelligence (EI) abilities on the Human Factor (HF) in a unique aviation context. The objective will be achieved by exploring the predictive validity of EI abilities on HF and the differences between professionals with high, medium, and low EI.
