The Social and Neurological Construction of Martyrdom
Abstract
The goals of the proposed research are twofold: 1) to further our understand for how Violent Extremist Organizations recruit people to join their cause, and 2) understand how appeals to martyrdom are influenced by candidates beliefs and cultural backgrounds.
