Acquisition of an Evolved Gas Analysis System for Materials Propellant Applications
Abstract
objective is to acquire a new Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer for the identification of reaction products with respect to temperature in real time, and connect gas analysis system (EGA) to connect an existing simultaneous thermal analysis (STA) system. the FTIR spectrometer will provide for the detection and chemical identification of (i) molecules and elements generated by thermal decomposition, reaction, and/or desorption during the ramped heating of samples and (ii) the products of reactive gas mixtures interacting with samples during with respect to the sample temperature.
