Probing Nanoscale Fundamental Interactions of Electrons and Quasiparticles from Optical to Terahertz Frequencies

Abstract

The objective of the project is to conduct nano-spectroscopic experiments that explore electronic phenomena on layered two-dimensional crystals, such as WSe2, highly doped Bi2Se3, and BN, and their interactions with adjacent films layers, including phase-change oxides such as VO2. tailoring of properties, through Fermi-level tuning, will also be explored.
