Multi-scale Characterization of Adverse Satellite Surface Conditions in aThruster Backflow Environment

Abstract

The objective is to investigate how to add electron transport and collision models to the AMR/Octree formalism. Validation of material erosion in the space environment at the small length scale requires validation with careful measurements. An extension of the ablation research would look at the erosion of the AR coating and underlying coverglass on solar cells as well as the erosion of the outer coating of aluminized My-lar.
