Support for ICAPS 2016 Conference

Abstract

The International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS) is the premier forum for researchers and practitioners in the field of planning and scheduling using artificial intelligence techniques. Planning and scheduling technologies are crucial to decision-making and decision-support in a broad spectrum of applications, including manufacturing, logistics, military and space systems, software engineering, robotics, education and entertainment. ICAPS is the result of merging to earlier bi-annual Conferences, the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Planning and Scheduling (AIPS) and the European Conference on Planning (ECP), and the 2016 edition will be the 26th conference in the series. In addition to a technical program of rigorously peer-reviewed research papers, the conference hosts a range of other events aimed at advancing the state of the art in the theory and practice of automated planning and scheduling, including a doctoral consortium for mentoring new researchers in the field, the international planning competition aimed at evaluation and comparison of implemented planning systems, a tutorial program for broadening understanding of current planning and scheduling concepts and applications, and a workshop program aimed at highlighting specialized and emerging topics in automated planning and scheduling.
