Fundamental Studies of Heavy Metal Oxide Glasses for High Power Lasers: Microstructural Aspects of ErClustering and Absorption Profile Variations Related to Photodarkening

Abstract

The objective is to design and develop glasses with minimal photodarkening for high power fiber lasers. This objective requires fabrication of different level Er3+ doping. Another objective is to design new glass chemistries.
