Adaptive Radar Signal Detection with Integrated Learning and Knowledge Exploitation

Abstract

The problem is that signal detection is sometimes weak; this is a communications issue which can negatively affect airborne radar sensing capabilities. The project will utilize multichannel observations collected in time, space, and/or frequency. The goal is to detect the presence and/or absence of ground moving targets from clutter-inundated observations collected by radar antennas. This work is directly applicable to the warfighter and will have a great impact to our warfighting capabilities.
