Development of TiPt-based HTSMA for actuator applications at 1000oC

Abstract

Develop and demonstrate shape memory effect behavior of TiPt alloy at high temperatures. Understand and improve alloy shape memory properties under load. Improve alloy performance to minimize strain during thermal cycling. Determine high temperature effect on mechanical and chemical properties of TiPt alloy.
