Fluoro-Hydrogenated Ionic Liquids (FHIL) For High-Performance Electrospray Propulsion

Abstract

The objective is to investigate the emission properties of Fluoro-Hydrogenated Ionic Liquids (PHIL) and their potential implementation in electrospray propulsion. The reason for the investigation is the promise of Fluoro-Hydrogenated Ionic Liquids with very high electrical conductivity and very low viscosity could enable an increase of emitted current and thrust of at least an order of magnitude over conventional liquids.
