Upgrade Of An MBE System For Integration Of Heterovalent Materials
Abstract
The objective of the grant is to purchase equipment to upgrade a molecular beam epitaxy (MBE)system. The system will support research on, for example, heterovalent structures for high-speed electronics, virtual substrates for future IR photodetectors, and compound semiconductor UV-IR photodetectors, all of which will be greatly enhanced by access to the unique capabilities of the new MBE system.
