Atomically Unique Physically Uncloneable Functions

Abstract

In this project, the PI and his team aim to design a new physical device with unique atom-scale features that do not manifest in classical electronics. This proposal extends the recent breakthrough the PI discovered last year. The PI found resonant tunneling effects of the electrons flowing through a quantum well on the nanoscale, which can be observed by examining the characteristics of the voltage-current spectrum.
