Abstract
To purchase a system capable of combined mechanical and optical experimental data collection for the study of (i) mechanochemistry of ultrasonically welded polymers, (ii) experimental mechanics in polymers, composites, and metal structures made by solid-state additive manufacturing methods, (iii) strain distribution in variable stiffness structures, and (iv) microscopic details of rock mechanics.
