Millimeter-Wave Measurement System For Intelligent Antennas

Abstract

The proposed multifunction reconfigurable antenna (MRA) technology enables a single antenna to perform multiple functions, where the frequency, polarization, and radiation pattern can be dynamically modified. This, coupled with software research, is a new field. The objective is to purchase and utilize a millimeter-wave network analyzer which will be interfaced to a probe station. This system will enable the measurement of impedance properties – the reflection coefficient, isolation, and insertion loss – of various MRA and MRAA prototypes.
