Weyl Semimetals (WSM) For Electronics Applications

Abstract

The main objective of the proposed research is to explore the application potential of devices based on Weyl semimetals (WSM). While pursuing this objective, they will study the physical properties, which are of crucial importance for applications: transport properties of Weyl electrons subjected to specially designed potentials (scalar and vector), which allow for control over the electron flow; the effect of confined geometry on the electron transport and so on. These studies will be applied for an analysis of WSM-transistor employing the uni-directionality of effective waveguides formed by the applied potential.
