PECASE: Multi-Dimensional Vibrational-Electronic Spectroscopy To Probe Electronic-To-Vibrational Energy Transferin Hybrid Nanomaterials

Abstract

The objective of this work to directly observe electronic-to-vibrational energy transfer (EVET) processes at organic/inorganic interfaces with unprecedented temporal and spectral resolution, and across a broad energy range. The results will provide insight into how energy dissipates following a near-impulse perturbation and how many materials redistribute charge and energy dynamically at nanoscopic structural and chemical discontinuities, a large factor that contributes to their resilience.
