Qcrypt 2016, The 6th Annual International Conference On Quantum Cryptography
Abstract
QCrypt is the premier annual conference for students and researchers working on theoreticaland applied aspects of quantum cryptography. Founded in 2010, QCrypt has been instrumentalin building a research community in this area, which lies at the intersection of informationtheory, cryptography, and atomic/molecular/optical physics. The QCrypt conference includestutorials, invited talks, contributed talks (which are highly competitive), and a large postersession. QCrypt has a strong record of presenting some of the best quantum cryptographyresearch in both theory and experiment, and it regularly attracts an audience of over 200 peoplefrom academia, industry, and government.QCrypt 2016 will be held in Washington, DC on Sept. 12-16, 2016. It will be organized by theJoint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS) at the University ofMaryland. This grant will provide partial financial support for this conference. It will help coverthe costs of hotel rooms for the invited speakers, and renting an auditorium and additionalspace for the poster session.
