REBCO And Mgb2 Cable Test And Analysisfor AFOSR/EOARD

Abstract

Continue optimizing superconducting wires and cables for AFRL/RQ s Tim Haugan, characterizing ReBCO conductors to reduce technology risks and increase the benefits. This work will focus on cables with ultra-thin tapes in the context of improving electrical machines (generators), high-field magnets, 100 kA cables for 45MW aircraft, and high current MgB2 cables.
