Design and Computer Simulations of 2D MeX2 (Me=transition metal) Nanopores for DNA and Protein Detection andAnalysis

Abstract

This project part of a larger project on synthesis and control of two-dimensional nanomaterials. The objective of this project is to investigate novel two-dimensional nanopores (NPs) based on materials beyond graphene, such as transition metal dichalcogenides, in biomoleculedetection and analysis by first principle and molecular dynamics modeling.
