Modeling of Chromophores under Static Electric Fields for Preparation of Ordered Bulk Glass Materials with Superior Optical Power Limiting Properties

Abstract

The overall objective of this study is to extend hybrid electro-dynamical/quantum-mechanical (ED-QM) models and software to simulate the light propagation through a bulk solid-state glass sample and predict clamping levels for nonlinear optical materials.
