Shining Light on the Neuroimmune Interface

Abstract

The proposed research seeks to use novel methodologies to quantify neuro-immune signaling events in neuronal behavior that could lead to the optimization of human performance. The technical pathway proposed is to use protein bioluminescence resonance energy transfer coupled with cytokine detection techniques to visualize and quantify neuronal cell signals in the brain.
