Microwave Enhancement of Composite Solid Propellant Flames

Abstract

The objective of the research is to investigate solid propellant combustion controlthrough pulsed microwave coupling. The study of non-equilibrium propellantcombustion phenomena as well as the development of propellant burning ratecontrol/extinguishment strategies leads to the use of plasmas for propellant ignitionand burning rate enhancement.
