Quantum Information Transfer Between Energy Scales

Abstract

This proposal aims to study of the transfer of quantum information between energy scales, fromsimple to complex degrees of freedom, in quantum many-body systems. The long-term vision isto formulate a computationally tractable approach to the simulation of quantum dynamics inmany-body systems which is built to capture the flows of information between energy scales. The study of quantum information in equilibrium states has revolutionized our understanding ofthe physics of quantum ground states, but much remains to be understood about the wayquantum information evolves in time.
