23rd Soft Magnetic Materials Conference
Abstract
Topics covered by the conference are all in which soft magnetic materials are involved. These include, among others, material properties, applications, device design, fundamental studies in magnetism, and simulations. In addition to the traditional topics of related conferences, we will hold sessions on soft magnetic materials for energy conversion and harvesting, including magnetic refrigeration and biomedical applications of magnetic nanoparticles, as they are emerging fields of research in which magnetic softness plays an important role. The applicability of soft magnets in high frequency systems, in devices for energy management and harvesting, and the development of new characterization techniques for multifunctional materials makes this conference directly related to the basic research programs of the US Air Force.
