A Comprehensive Study of Shock-wave-boundary-layer Interactions on Curved Surfaces

Abstract

To guide the design and control of future flight vehicles, it is therefore very important tounderstand the aero/thermodynamic effects of the SBLIs on curved surfaces. Although much has been learned, the complex dynamics of such systems has made the development of shock detection scheme challenging. The problem is challenging and requires a multi-pronged, interdisciplinary approach.
