Efficient Quantum Frequency Conversion for Quantum Communication and Quantum Information Processing

Abstract

This research program targets the development of effective quantum frequencyconversion at the single-photon level between very distant spectral regions in orderto enable a robust quantum link between elements of quantum networks. The goalis to demonstrate a seamless quantum interface between frequencies of opticaltransitions in atomic quantum memories and in the telecommunication networkfabric.
