Sampling and Learning with Peace of Mind

Abstract

At its core, this proposal is a response to a critical need for a posteriori certificates in signal anddata processing. In pursuit of certificates for sparse signal processing there has been a lot of research to develop algorithms that process data as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, many of these algorithms do not currently report the extent to which they succeed at the given processing task. I propose to close this gap for the Air Force by developing certification algorithms whose speed rivals that of the original data processing algorithms.
