Towards predictive modeling of ExB plasma discharges

Abstract

The objective of the proposed research is to predict turbulence enhanced electron conductivity in plasmas that typically exceeds the classical values by one or two orders of magnitude, via from the first principles fluid and kinetic simulations of partially ionized plasmas for aerospace and propulsion applications toward the predictive design of future in-space electric propulsion systems.
