Laser Tracker to Implement State-of-the-Art Alignment for SSA Support
Abstract
This DURIP request is to purchase a laser tracker that will be used for precise alignment of the amplitude interferometer telescope at Magdalena Ridge. This is a collaboration between the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and AFRL to obtain resolved images at GEO range for support of the space surveillance mission.
