DIC and Data Acquisition System for Experimental Verification of the Constructal Theory in Design of Multi-scale Aeroelastic Systems

Abstract

This proposal describes the required test equipment for experimental studies on a constructaldesign theory for multi-scale very flexible aero-structures. The Digital Image Correlation(DIC) and Data Acquisition (DAQ) Systems requested here provide an efficient measuringtool to capture the structural behavior of the designed systems during tests such as: StaticDeflection Test (SDT), Ground Vibration Test (GVT), and Wind Tunnel Test (WTT) atthe Wall of Wind (WOW) Facility at Florida International University (FIU).
