Microscopic Control of Low entropy Arrays of Strontium for Quantum Information

Abstract

Sampling problems represent a new paradigm for achieving quantum complexity. They exhibit provable hardness in the setting of classical computation, while placing less stringent requirements on a quantum computer compared to tasks like factoring. In boson sampling, the problem’s hardness arises in the output distribution achieved by a standard set of quantum operations, specifically those implemented by a simple linear beam splitter network.
