Highly Conductive Custom Inks for Aerospace Applications

Abstract

Xactiv develops and manufactures state of the art conductive inks from special powders, particles and liquids. Xactiv has formulated these inks with state of the art conductivity, but new requirements mandate conductivities of an even higher order of magnitude that are unachievable using commercially available materials and methodologies. We will investigate methods of dispersion including at least some new mechanical, chemical, and physical methods. Through the efforts of this grant, Xactiv will gain enhanced capability in the development and production of materials for printed absorbers. Potential improvements include lower cost and higher performance for printed substrates and printed honeycomb precursor.
