Morphological and Interfacial Effects in Aramid Graphene Composites for Structural Energy and Power

Abstract

Proposal addresses an important concept, structural energy storage for applications in ground, space, and aerial vehicles. The objective of the proposal is If one could address mechanical properties within the battery or capacitor itself, then the battery or capacitor may become integrated with unconventional surfaces to render them multifunctional (structural panels, airplane wings, body armor, etc.), yielding the desired reduction in system mass and potential secondary benefits.
