PHYSICS BASED CONTROL OF TRANSVERSE JETS

Abstract

This proposal describes a collaborative experimental-simulation study to explore the physics of the gaseous jet in crossflow (JICF) and to utilize this physics based understanding to develop control strategies for optimized jet penetration and mixing. Prof. Karagozian at UCLA will lead the experimental effort and Prof. Mahesh at the University of Minnesota will lead the simulations.
